Partnerships: Global Reach Local Impact

March Photo

Our partners range from local community-based groups to regional and international organizations. And, by working with locally based partners, we can efficiently reach more people more cost-effectively.

Survivor Corps is fighting the root causes of violence by:

  • Joining forces with hundreds of survivor groups and service providers
  • Advocating for better laws, policies and practices
  • Improving economic and social opportunities for tens of millions of survivors

Programs: Unique to each community

We have a unique approach for rebuilding entire communities one survivor at a time:

  1. Assess the most pressing needs a community of survivors have, and determine a strategy to address them.
  2. Build a team of local, regional and international organizations best suited to deliver the right support for that Survivor Community.
  3. Train and coordinate the activities of those partner organizations to assure that we are achieving measurable and lasting results.

Survivor Campaigns

March Photo The World Health Organization has declared violence a major public health threat. 80% of the casualties of modern warfare are civilians, compared to only five percent 100 years ago. Treaties and negotiations are often carried out without the participation of those most impacted by violent conflict.

Survivor Corps’ 10 years of global campaign and advocacy work began with our leadership in the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, for which we were honored as co-recipients of the 1997 Nobel Prize for Peace. We continue to participate in national and international campaigns to protect and empower people affected by violent conflict with the goal of creating more peaceful and stable societies.
